Activating youth
leadership
since 1948.
AIESEC was established in 1948 after World War II, where seven youth across seven countries had a dream of building cross-cultural understanding across nations. They hoped to change the world, one person and one internship at a time.
Today, AIESEC has grown into a non-profit organization with more than 30,000 members in over 100 countries and territories.
AIESEC continues to strive to achieve “Peace and Fulfillment of Humankind’s Potential”.
In sum, AIESEC is a global network of people that simply believe that youth leadership is not an option, but our responsibility.

I am worried about my English ability for the activities.
Some activities use a lot of English, but others are conducted in Japanese only. You can adjust through our activities.
What are the hours of your activities?
It depends on the local committee you belong to, the position you hold, and the time of year, so it is difficult to give a general answer. Generally speaking, the activity time tends to be longer during the period when you are involved in the product operation (international internships, global youth dialogue, etc.). We encourage you to ask the senior members of the committee about their activity hours and breakdown!
Is there any interaction with other local committees?
Yes, there is. There are opportunities to get involved at the large AIESEC in Japan meetings that are held several times a year (participation is optional, or a selection may be held). For interactions with overseas committees, it depends on which committee you belong to, so the frequency of interactions varies.
If I join AIESEC, can I participate in an international internship?
Not necessarily. You can participate in an international internship program by meeting the language score and other participation requirements. For details on participation requirements, please ask at the international internship information session!
