VISION

We strive to achieve “Peace & Fulfillment of Humankind’s Potential.

MISSION

We develop youth leadership by creating opportunities for cross-cultural understanding and practical experiences in challenging environments.

What we do

01.WHAT WE DO

International Internships and Volunteer Programs

We run international internships and volunteer programs for Japanese university students to intern and volunteer at overseas companies, educational institutions, and NPOs, and vice versa.

Activities

OutGoing eXchange

We introduce Japanese university students to international internships where they can develop their leadership skills by traveling overseas for 6 weeks or more, engaging in activities that explore local social issues, and experiencing working at a company.

InComing eXchange

We introduce students worldwide to various companies in Japan and support them in accepting interns from overseas. By providing young people with experiences that challenge them in different cultures and environments, we aim to broaden the career choices of overseas students in Japan and produce future leaders who will be active in the international community.

02.WHAT WE DO

global youth dialogue

“global youth dialogue” is an online event centered on conversations between youth from various countries. Participants from different countries are paired up, and daily topics are set to stimulate conversations, aimed at promoting a deeper understanding of themselves and the world.

03.WHAT WE DO

Global Passion Lab

We are developing a new product that can foster leadership in any environment. It is currently under development in collaboration with AIESEC's headquarters, AIESEC International, AIESEC Japan, and overseas branches.

Back Office

Business Development

This area serves as a contact point for collaboration with companies and alumni for the further development of AIESEC, which is composed entirely of students. This department conducts sales for collaboration and is in charge of event planning that involves partners.

Talent Management

This area is in charge of creating an environment in which AIESEC members can enjoy their activities more. Specifically, they plan and design meetings and events that bring all members together.

Finance

In order to operate soundly as a non-profit organization, this department manages the money held by the committee and is involved in decision-making when investing for the better development of the organization.

Brand & Customer eXPerience

In order to protect and build AIESEC's brand, this department is responsible for brand penetration within the organization and public relations activities including running social media.

Activating youth
leadership
since 1948.

AIESEC was established in 1948 after World War II, where seven youth across seven countries had a dream of building cross-cultural understanding across nations. They hoped to change the world, one person and one internship at a time.
Today, AIESEC has grown into a non-profit organization with more than 30,000 members in over 100 countries and territories.
AIESEC continues to strive to achieve “Peace and Fulfillment of Humankind’s Potential”.
In sum, AIESEC is a global network of people that simply believe that youth leadership is not an option, but our responsibility.

FAQ

Q

I am worried about my English ability for the activities.

Some activities use a lot of English, but others are conducted in Japanese only. You can adjust through our activities.

Q

What are the hours of your activities?

It depends on the local committee you belong to, the position you hold, and the time of year, so it is difficult to give a general answer. Generally speaking, the activity time tends to be longer during the period when you are involved in the product operation (international internships, global youth dialogue, etc.). We encourage you to ask the senior members of the committee about their activity hours and breakdown!

Q

Is there any interaction with other local committees?

Yes, there is. There are opportunities to get involved at the large AIESEC in Japan meetings that are held several times a year (participation is optional, or a selection may be held). For interactions with overseas committees, it depends on which committee you belong to, so the frequency of interactions varies.

Q

If I join AIESEC, can I participate in an international internship?

Not necessarily. You can participate in an international internship program by meeting the language score and other participation requirements. For details on participation requirements, please ask at the international internship information session!

About International Internship Information Session

At the information session, you will have the opportunity to hear from members who actually traveled abroad for internships this spring. Please feel free to come! We look forward to meeting you.

*Please note that participation in the overseas internship information session is not required to become a member of AIESEC.
*Joining this session does not necessarily mean that you can participate in an overseas internship program. For more information, please attend the orientation!
